Version 1.0 · Effective 16 August 2026
Terms and Conditions
These terms are the agreement between you and Zenpath Limited when you use Travel Upgrade. They are written to be read, not to be survived.
1.Who we are
Travel Upgrade is operated by ZENPATH LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 07110278, registered office First Floor 10 College Road, Harrow, Middlesex, England, HA1 1BE. In these terms “we”, “us” and “our” mean Zenpath; “you” means the person who holds the Travel Upgrade account.
You can reach us at support@travelupgradeapp.com. We are a small team and we answer our own email.
2.What Travel Upgrade is
Travel Upgrade is planning and information software.
You tell us which cards, accounts and loyalty programmes your household already holds, what you value a point at, and what you expect to spend. We calculate how that spending could be allocated across what you already hold so that more of it lands on thresholds and benefits you actually want. The calculation is deterministic: the same inputs give the same answer every time, and every assumption is visible and adjustable.
We work only with what you already have. Travel Upgrade optimises your existing wallet. It does not rank products for you, does not tell you that one card is better than another for your circumstances, and does not produce a personalised list of products to apply for.
We never suggest you spend more. The plan only reallocates spending you have already told us you expect to make. If a benefit is out of reach on your expected spending, we say it is out of reach.
Our figures are projections, not promises. When we express a reward in pounds we are converting points using a valuation — ours by default, or one you set. That valuation is an assumption, not a market price. Points are not cash, cannot be spent as cash, and what they are worth depends entirely on how and when you redeem them. We label these figures as projected value at your chosen valuation. We do not describe them as savings, and we do not guarantee them.
3.What Travel Upgrade is not
It is not financial advice. We do not assess whether any product is suitable for you, and nothing in the app is a personal recommendation. Decisions about which cards or accounts to hold, keep or close are yours.
It is not a product comparison or application service. We do not introduce you to lenders, present or offer credit agreements, provide application links, or carry advertising or affiliate links.
It is not connected to your accounts. There is no open-banking connection, no card numbers, no third-party account credentials and no transaction feed. You enter balances yourself.
It assumes you clear your statement in full. If you carry a balance, the interest you pay will almost certainly exceed the value of any rewards you earn, and this product is not designed for that situation.
4.Our regulatory status
ZENPATH LIMITED is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
Travel Upgrade is designed and tested as planning and information software for products you already hold. We do not introduce users to lenders, we do not present or offer credit agreements, we do not provide application journeys or links, and we accept no commission or other payment from any card issuer, bank or loyalty programme. Our only revenue is your subscription.
Because we are not carrying on a regulated activity, complaints about Travel Upgrade cannot be referred to the Financial Ombudsman Service. They come to us, and our complaints policy explains how we handle them.
5.The Benefit Directory
The Benefit Directory is a factual reference library of UK card and account benefits. You choose what to look at; we do not push products at you. Results are the same for every user, listed alphabetically by product name, and are not ranked, scored, filtered by your circumstances or presented as recommendations. There are no application links and no “add this product” prompts.
Each entry shows the official source we took it from, the date the rules took effect and the date we last verified them. The issuer's or programme's own current terms always prevail over anything in the directory. Verify before you act.
6.Your account and your household
You must be 18 or over to hold an account. Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account.
A household plan can include other people, because family and business travel is planned for the people taking it. If you record another adult's details you are responsible for being entitled to do so.
We do not yet operate a notice and rights flow for other adults in your household, so Travel Upgrade does not store identifiable details about anyone but you in your account. Detailed planning for another adult stays on your device; to save a plan to your account, that person is recorded as a generic traveller placeholder with no contact details. This is enforced by our database as well as our app, so it is not something you can switch off. Our household member page explains what we hold and how any adult can contact us directly.
A child can be recorded as part of the household. We ask for a first name and an age band and nothing more.
7.The information we work from, and its limits
Your information: we cannot check whether what you tell us is accurate or current. If a balance, a fee, a renewal date or an expected spending figure is wrong, the plan will be wrong. Where information looks stale we show you how old it is and prompt you to update it.
Our rules database: card and loyalty rules change frequently, sometimes at a few days' notice. We monitor official sources, a person reviews every change before it reaches your plan, and we show you the source and the date we last verified each rule. That maintenance is most of what you are paying for — but it does not make our data a substitute for the issuer's own current terms.
Before any action that could cost you materially — pushing for a threshold, chasing a voucher or status, or closing or cancelling anything — check the current terms with the provider. The app warns you at those points for exactly this reason.
8.Availability of rewards
We can get you to a voucher, a certificate or a points balance. We cannot make an airline release a seat or a hotel release a room. Reward availability is entirely in the provider's hands and is outside our control.
9.Free use and the subscription
Free. You can enter your household's details and see a headline result — the projected travel value you are on track for, and what an optimised allocation of the same spending would reach — without paying us. If the difference is small, we would rather you found that out for free.
The subscription gives you the plan itself: the sequencing, the amounts, the switch points, the reasoning, threshold countdowns, expiry alerts and rule-change notices.
Price. £29.99 per year or £3.49 per month. There is one tier. One subscription covers one household. Prices include VAT where applicable.
Renewal, cancellation and refunds. When billing begins, subscriptions will renew automatically, we will email a reminder before any annual renewal is charged, and you will be able to cancel online from your account settings in no more steps than it took to subscribe. You keep access to the end of the period you have paid for. If you cancel an annual subscription part-way through we will refund unused whole months on request. Your statutory consumer rights, including the 14-day right to cancel a distance contract, are unaffected.
We are building towards the subscription controls in the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act — easy online exit, renewal reminders and cooling-off periods — as a design commitment. That regime is currently expected to commence in spring 2027 and is not yet in force.
Price changes. If we change the price we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
10.Our responsibility to you
We owe you a duty to supply this service with reasonable care and skill, and we do not exclude or limit that duty. Concretely: to maintain our rules database properly, to calculate correctly from what you give us, and to tell you honestly what our figures assume.
We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Where we are in breach, we are responsible for direct loss that we caused and that was reasonably foreseeable, subject only to the exclusions and limits the law allows. To the extent the law permits, we are not responsible for business losses, loss of profit or opportunity, indirect or consequential loss, or loss that was not reasonably foreseeable.
We are also not responsible for:
- a provider changing its rules, rates, fees or benefits;
- reward availability, or a provider declining a redemption;
- a decision you take about which products to hold, keep or close;
- the accuracy of information you enter, or plans built on out-of-date figures;
- interest, charges or fees you incur with a provider.
If we get something wrong, tell us. Where a mistake of ours has cost you a benefit you would otherwise have obtained, we would rather look at it properly than point at a limitation clause — see our complaints policy.
11.Your responsibilities
- Keep your information reasonably current, or expect the plan to drift.
- Verify rules with the provider before acting on anything material.
- Do not use Travel Upgrade to break a provider's terms.
- Do not scrape, resell or redistribute our rules database.
- Only record another person's details where you are entitled to do so.
12.Changes to the service and to these terms
We will keep improving the service, and we may change these terms. If a change materially affects you we will tell you by email before it takes effect, and you can end your subscription if you would rather not accept it. The current version, with its version number and date, is always on this page.
13.Ending this agreement
You can stop using Travel Upgrade at any time, cancel a subscription from your account settings, and delete your account and its data from the app. We may suspend or end your account if you seriously breach these terms, and we will tell you why.
14.Complaints
Email support@travelupgradeapp.com. Our complaints policy sets out timescales and what we will do.
15.General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction — though if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may bring proceedings there. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. We may transfer this agreement as part of a sale or reorganisation, and will tell you if we do.
